A brief guide to adult assessments (18 years and over). Is this right for me?
We assess adults (18+) who are experiencing symptoms of ADHD such as difficulties with attention, organisation, focus or impulsivity.
Your assessment will be completed by a Specialist General Practitioners who has additional training in ADHD diagnosis and management. You will also see a Registered Nurse as part of your assessment.
In some cases, we may recommend assessment by another specialist instead (for example, if someone has been previously diagnosed with certain mental illnesses such as bipolar disorder or schizophrenia, has a significant learning disability, or has current or recent drug use).

Booking & payment
- An upfront fee of $404.25 is required at the time of booking to confirm your 1st appointment. This is held and the applicable rebate is processed and returned following the consultation.
- Your 1st, 2nd and 3rd appointments are scheduled in advance at the time of booking. If your GP determines that follow-up appointments aren’t required, we’ll let you know and cancel them for you.
- Our reception team will contact you 2 days prior to your 2nd and 3rd appointments for payment and confirmation. Failure to pay and confirm will result in cancellation.
- All required forms must be completed and returned at least 3 days prior to your appointment. Late forms will result in cancellation due to high demand.

A brief guide to paediatric assessments (5-17 years)
Is this right for my child?
We assess children (5-17 years) who are experiencing symptoms of ADHD such as difficulties with attention, organisation, focus or impulsivity. If your child is under 5 and you have concerns about ADHD, you can still book a long appointment to discuss it with Dr Melissa Yogui Watanabe.
Your child’s assessment will be completed by a Specialist General Practitioner (Dr Melissa Yogui Watanabe) who has additional training in ADHD diagnosis and management. Your child will also see a Registered Nurse as part of the assessment.
In some cases, we may recommend assessment by another specialist instead (for example, if your child has been previously diagnosed with certain mental illnesses such as bipolar disorder or schizophrenia, has a significant learning disability, or has current or recent drug use.)
No referral is required. Supporting letters from your child’s regular GP or psychologist can be helpful.
