Dr Sakib Taggart-Jeewa (Dr Sak)

FRACGP, MB CHB(UK), MRCGP(UK) 

Dr Sak is a UK trained Sunshine Coast local who’s experienced in the management of Chronic Disease such as heart disease, diabetes, asthma and high blood pressure. He has a special interest in Mental Health & Aged Care, Geriatrics and enjoys treating patients in a holistic manner. 

His aim is to improve the emotional and physical well-being of the patient by using the best clinical evidence available. Sak is currently accepting new patients.

Dr Eranthi Hettiarachchi

FRACGP, MBBS, DCH, FASLM, GCE Lead, BPsychSc (Hons I)

Dr Eranthi has been working General Practice on the Sunshine Coast for the last decade. She is passionate about lifestyle medicine especially nutrition, movement and mental health. She has fellowships from the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine and the Royal Australian College of General Practice. She has a holistic approach to chronic disease management and enjoys working with patients to achieve their health goals.

Before General Practice Dr Eranthi worked across various inpatient hospital wards and emergency departments both regionally and rurally. She has undergone additional education in mental health skills and psychological strategies to complement her undergraduate honours degree in Psychology. She also has a background in Executive Leadership and served on the board for GPRA. She has trained in advanced skills in Paediatrics and has a Diploma in Child Health.

Dr Emily Heaney

MChD

Dr Emily Heaney is a GP Registrar who completed her medical degree at the Australian National University. She began her medical career on the Sapphire Coast in New South Wales before gradually relocating up the East Coast to the Sunshine Coast.

She enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has particular interests in chronic disease management, travel medicine, paediatrics, clinical research, antenatal shared care, sexual health and HIV medicine.

Dr Lauren Shorthouse

MBBS, DRANZCOG, FRACGP

Dr Lauren Shorthouse brings a wealth of hospital-based experience to her role as a General Practitioner, holding a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology along with further training in paediatrics and emergency medicine. Her diverse clinical background allows her to deliver holistic, patient-centred care across a wide range of health needs.

Dr Shorthouse has a special interest in women’s and children’s health, with a strong focus on supporting women through all life stages. She is particularly passionate about guiding patients through the often challenging transitions of perimenopause and menopause, providing management that address both physical symptoms and emotional wellbeing.

Her approachable manner and thorough, evidence-based care make her a trusted GP for individuals and families alike. Dr Shorthouse is dedicated to creating a safe, respectful space where patients feel heard and supported.

Outside of medicine, Dr Shorthouse enjoys spending time with her family and making the most of the beautiful outdoors.

Dr Angela Allsopp

BAppSci(MedSc), FRACGP, GradCertClinEd, MBBS, MPHTM

Dr Angela Allsopp graduated from Griffith University in 2011 and has spent most of the time since then on the Coast.

She is an approachable and thorough GP who enjoys the variety of General Practice from babies to chronic disease management.

One week a month she works for the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Western Queensland and she also lectures medical students at Griffith University.

Dr Lucy Randall

Dr Lucy ‘s passion is to provide high quality, individualised health care in a General Practice setting. Dr Lucy looks after the medical needs of patients of all ages, with special interests in people experiencing complex or multiple medical conditions, mental health difficulties and eating disorders.

ADHD assessments: Dr Lucy Randall is able to perform assessments for ADHD. Bookings are not available on line and must be made by calling Ninox Health on Buderim on (07) 5453 4404.

Please note:  Dr Lucy Randall’s books are open only for ADHD assessments. Her books are currently closed to all other new patients.

Dr Bruna K. von Mühlen, PhD

Clinical Psychologist (AHPRA: PSY0002751043)

Clinical psychologist with over 16 years of experience providing evidence-based therapy and psychological assessment for adults, couples and families.

Bruna works with presentations including anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation and relationship difficulties, with a particular focus on relational patterns, attachment and the impact of past experiences.

She has extensive experience working with women, men and LGBTQIA+ clients, including individuals affected by trauma and gender-based violence, as well as relationship and family dynamics.

Kirsty has recently joined the Ninox Team and with seven years of experience in general practice, Kirsty is passionate about supporting individuals and families within the community. Kirsty’s career has been dedicated to promoting good health through education and ensuring continuity of care for my patients. Kirsty believe that informed patients are empowered patients, and she take’s pride in providing clear, compassionate guidance on health and wellness.

In Kirsty’s spare time, she enjoys Pilates, exploring the markets of Sunshine Coast and tending to her animals and property in the hinterland.

Cherie has worked in General practice as a Registered nurse for over 15 years with experience in a variety of areas including Chronic Disease management and health assessments with a compassionate, understanding, and holistic approach towards providing care to patients of all ages.

Cherie also works in community palliative care and enjoys gardening, yoga, and spending time with family and friends in her spare time.

Tasha is our dedicated senior receptionist with over 5 years experience, and is the friendly face you will see when you arrive to Ninox Health. Tash is originally from the UK and has found the Sunshine Coast as her home. 

Tasha enjoys in her free time, hiking around the hinterlands, and the hidden gems of the Sunshine Coast. Spending time with her friends and snuggles with her cat.

Dietitian - Geraldine Taggart-Jeewa

Geraldine Taggart-Jeewa is a Health at Every Size aligned Accredited Practising Dietitian, Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor based at Ninox Health Buderim.

In addition to her training as a dietitian, geraldin has undertaken extensive postgraduate training, including CBT-E, FBT, ACT, MI and trauma informed dietetics to support her work with clients experiencing eating disorders, disordered eating and body image concerns to find peace with food and their body.

Kristy is a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with 6 years of experience in healthcare. She is passionate in providing compassionate and evidence-based care to all patients.

Outside of her nursing practice, Kristy runs a hand building clay studio, where she teaches and also creates stunning ceramic pieces for businesses locally and worldwide.

Kristy also loves spending time with her gorgeous husband, four children and their dog Gemma.
