Dr Oliver Gunson, BM, FRACGP, DRCOG, PgDip (Therapeutics), is an experienced general practitioner at Ninox Health Chancellor Park. He has a broad clinical background in general surgery, care of the elderly, orthopaedics, urology, accident and emergency medicine, and more. Dr Gunson trained at Southampton University and has practised across multiple specialties in both the UK and Australia.

I practiced in the hospital system in both England and Australia before becoming a GP. Within the hospital, I worked in general medicine, general surgery, care of the elderly, orthopaedics, urology, Accident and Emergency, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology and ENT. 

I practiced for ten years as a GP in England and have worked on the Sunshine Coast as a GP for nearly 16 years. I am interested in all aspects of General Practice and am a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. I will be starting at Ninox Health in Chancellor Park in September 2025.

Outside of work, I have been married to Karen for nearly 30 years and we have 21 year old twin boys. I like to read, garden and try and keep fit! I am an avid armchair sportsman with particular interest in cricket, rugby union (Queensland Reds), Formula 1 (Lewis Hamilton) and football with a round ball (Manchester United).
